The structural performance database and aforementioned information was assembled as a service to the research community in earthquake engineering. EPFL, and the researchers who performed the experiments make no warranties to the accuracy of the information that has been collected. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please contact Prof. Dimitrios Lignos at EPFL.
Acknowledgements
Mr. Nasser Al-Shawwa, M.Eng designed, developed and implemented the web-based interactive tools for Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering. His contribution is greatly acknowledged.
We would also like to thank Tarek Al-Shawwa, for producing the images for the slider on the home page.
We would like to sincerely thank many researchers, who generously shared their test data for the development of the structural component database for PBEE and the two additional web-based tools for nonlinear component modeling. The database users should cite the original references for the test description, in addition to this database.
Prof. Dimitrios Lignos and Professor Helmut Krawinkler assembled the core of the steel beam-to-column database as part of a U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) grant within the George E. Brown, Jr. Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES). The project title was “Sidesway collapse of deteriorating structural systems under seismic excitations”. Mister Yash Ahuja, Gullermo Soriano, Richard Weiner and Yavor Yotov provided invaluable assistance in developing the steel beam-to-column connection database.
Report technical problems to Prof. Dimitrios Lignos or Mr. Nasser Al-Shawwa.
